Botox Treatment

Botox injections are commonly understood and are easily available.  These injections are the cosmetic application of a protein called Clostridium Botulinum.  It temporarily blocks the functions of muscles responsible for causing wrinkles.

Botox can also be used against sweating, muscle spasms and migraines. 

The procedure usually takes only 5 minutes.  Local anaesthetic is available if requested.

The treatment may last for 3-6 months depending on each patient.  It can be applied after this time period, but no more than 3 times a year.

It is rare to suffer from side effects. It has been known for the compound to move to other areas which block the functionality of other muscles.  If the treatment has been used on forehead wrinkles, it may cause the eyelids to lower.  Other side effects are headache, redness and weakness. All of these symptoms are short-term and disappear ina few weeks. There are no long-term effects.
